Tổng quan
Dự án Tổ hợp hóa dầu miền Nam do liên doanh giữa PVN, Tập đoàn SCG. Dự án được khởi công từ năm 2008. Tổ hợp lọc hóa dầu miền Nam có tổng diện tích trên 460ha, nằm trong Khu công nghiệp Dầu khí Long Sơn; trong đó, 398 ha xây dựng nhà máy (gồm 10 nhà máy, công suất chế biến đạt 2,7 triệu tấn nguyên liệu/năm, sử dụng nguồn khí Etan trong nước), 66 ha đất xây dựng cảng, với tổng vốn đầu tư lên đến 4,5 tỷ USD. Các sản phẩm của tổ hợp này là nguyên liệu đầu vào cho các ngành công nghiệp khác như: bao bì, tơ sợi, ô tô, điện tử…
