Long Son Petrochemicals Co., Ltd, a registered company in Vietnam, has been jointly established by the Vietnamese parties comprising of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem),  the Thai parties comprising of Vina SCG Chemicals Co., Ltd. (VSCG Chemicals) and Thai Plastic and Chemicals Public Company Limited (TPC), and the Qatar party comprising of QPI Vietnam Ltd. (QPIV) with the objective of planning, developing, constructing and operating the 1st integrated Petrochemicals Complex in the Southern part of Vietnam which consists of:

Olefins Plant

Polyolefins Plants consists of:

  • High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE) Plant
  • Linear Low Density Poly Ethylene (LLDPE) Plant
  • Poly Propylene (PP) Plant

Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) Plant

Port System consists of:

  • Hydrocarbon Jetties
  • Bulk Jetty
  • Construction Jetty for importing heavy weight and oversized equipment.

Central Utility Plant consists of:

  • Water Plant

Tank Farm consists of:

  • Feedstock and product storage tanks
  • Feedstock and product distribution system and facilities

Flare System consists of:

  • High Pressure Flare
  • Low Pressure Flare

The Complex is located in the Long Son Island, Northwest of Vung Tau City, Ba Ria Vung Tau province. The construction site is around 100 km away from Ho Chi Minh City and around 30 km away from Vung Tau City. Long Son peninsula is currently a commune of Vung Tau City with geographical connections as described below.

North: contiguous to Hoi Bai and Long Huong communes, separated by Ba Nanh river;

South: contiguous to Ganh Rai bay;

East: contiguous to Go Gang (belongs to Long Son commune), separated by Cha Va river;

West: contiguous to Phuoc Hoa commune, separated by Ong Ben canal.
